# 3.6 Phone Number Login Setup

To use this feature, you need to upgrade to the Firebase Spark Plan and add a billing account, as per the recent Firebase update.

To use this, from your Firebase Console > Authentication > Turn on the **Phone** provider and add your testing number and OTP, which are required for texting purposes.
